The difference between professional copy and hastily written text is the response you’ll get with the right words. Great content convinces people. Jargon makes their eyes glaze over and we often don't even realise we've used it. Really effective copywriting is about talking to people directly, with humour, clarity and character. It is about sounding real and approachable, and not overtly ‘corporate’.
Your customers - no matter what they do - are people like you and me who simply want to know what you can offer them, without being irritated, patronised, bored or baffled.
You need to convince them that you can see things from their point of view, and that you have something different to offer them. If you want to stand out you need to have your own voice. Good copy gives you that - in spades.
