Mike - Chairman (FCMI, MBCS, C.DipAF, C.INST.SMM)
Mike joined LWS in late 2009 as a non-executive Director and Chairman role. His role at LWS is to work with the team to facilitate the growth of the company through investment and to secure it's position as the south's leading digital marketing agency providing an outstanding level of service and offer for all our clients. mike.escott@lws-uk.com

Claire - Managing Director
Claire spent 9 years with Sainsburys gaining experience in supply chain, finance, personnel and customer services and managed these areas in up to 20 stores. In 2000 she was seconded to the team that tested the then new Homebase website and acted as a liaison point between Homebase and the web company's development team. Once the Homebase site went live, Claire moved to the e-commerce team where Julian was her boss for four years. During this time she aqcuired around some private web clients. Claire then left employment with the intention to run her property portfolio full time, but an introduction to a BNI Networking group resulted in an influx of new clients - and Local Web Solutions was created.
Excellent customer service and lack of technobabble were the key - and with 90% of all business coming from recommendation the company grew fast. In 2005, Julian joined her as co-director in the company which has now grown to the team it is today. Due to customer demand, LWS Creative was launched as the sister company in October 2008, providing outstanding service in design, print and marketing. Julian - Technical/Financial Director
Julian is our technical whizz and has been building and designing websites for over 12 years. He was the Business Systems Development Manager for www.homebase.co.uk for 5 years, but previous to that Julian spent 10 years managing Retail Superstores with turnover in excess of £12 million, meaning he is not your usual techie but understands usability, business processes and return on investment. Julian will analyse all these factors with you to ensure your business will work effectively on the internet - he calls it 'Real World Web'.

Matt - Operations Director
Matt's background is in creating database systems for customer service teams - like Claire he has the ideal mix of being able to translate complex systems issues into plain English. Matt came to LWS in the early days as a trainee and has proved his worth. At LWS we believe in a home grown team and Matt was offered a well deserved directorship in the company in 2009.
As Operations Director and our lead Account/Project Manager, he and the team will work with you to help you decide what ideas you have in mind for your website, how you want to put it all together - from page layouts right through to how the navigation system will work and where it will appear on each page. You’ll discuss your likes and dislikes in order to build a brief for the design concept stage. Matt will then liaise with our technical team to create your test website, get the site live for you and ensure you are trained on our simple to use Content Management System. From start to finish, Matt is here to ensure the team manage your project expertly and smoothly. matt@lws-uk.com

Cat - Creative Director
Cat is a graphic designer with over fifteen years experience in both agency and freelance work. The combination of her enthusiasm for her work, creative experience and business awareness make her exactly the kind of person suitable to produce fantastic work for our clients. After working freelance for LWS for a year, we felt compelled to offer her a full time graphic design position. In just under one year in that role, Cat proved her worth and was offered directorship in the company in 2009.
Her experience ranges from newspaper and magazine layouts, creation of corporate image including logos, advertising and brochures, shop fronts, annual reports, vehicle design and much more. Cat is particularly experienced in producing design work for awards. She finds the web a great new avenue for her creativity and loves being able to create a great new corporate image for a client and take that through to the design for a great looking, business generating website. Cat also thrives on marketing projects and plans to work towards marketing qualifications in the future to broaden her already wide knowledge in the field. cat@lws-uk.com

Becky - Graphic and Web Designer
Becky joined us on a part time basis in 2009 following a three month work experience. A rising star, it only took six weeks for us to decide to make her full time.
She trained in Graphic Design at Northbrook College in Worthing and has previously worked on a range of freelance projects. Becky has now also been fully trained on web design under the ever watchful eye of our Creative Director Cat. becky@lws-uk.com

Graham - Account and Office Manager
Graham had the initiative to email Claire in 2009 offering himself for 3 months free work experience. We love that type of initiative and it gets rewarded! After his trial, Graham was offered a permanent position and now works on a range of projects including web design, web administration, email marketing and blogging.
Graham has a strong background in Customer Services (Sainsburys again!) and is now our front man on the phones so likely the person you'll speak to first. He also owns both the challenging tasks of running the office as a whole and being Claire's assistant! graham@lws-uk.com

Gemma - Web Administrator
Another one of our home grown people, Gemma joined us via the 'New Deal for Disabled' government scheme as a trainee web administrator in 2008 - completing work for clients in our Content Management Systems (CMS), writing copy and press releases for news and blogs and completing image editing tasks. Certainly no trainee now, she is our Web Administration whizz!
Gemma originally started web design when she was still at school and was mostly self-taught with the help of a friend who is a web designer. From there she continued to do websites for friends and herself (mostly car related!) which she still does - so as well as her administrator skills she is a bit of a secret developer - watch out Julian! gemma@lws-uk.com

Pete - Junior Web Developer (Work Experience)
Pete joined us on work experience in 2009. He is studying at Chichester College in the first year of a Higher National Diploma in Software Development. Pete spends one day a week at LWS working on the various techie aspects of the business including programming, flash and content management systems under Julian's ever watchful eye! pete@lws-uk.com

Chris - Master Photographer (LWS Associates)
Through Chris we can provide you with professionally taken commercial photography that will not only fulfil your web requirements, but can provide you with a portfolio of images for use in advertising, public relations, e-commerce, and brochures. He ensures that your finished website and ultimately your image and products are represented as professionally to your customers as possible.

Dee - Chartered Marketer FCIB (LWS Associates)
Dee is a Chartered Marketer with 24 years of marketing experience - recently attainging the rare status of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She also has a few advertising and PR awards under her belt. Recently she has been filming with the BBC. Dee works with both LWS on a retained basis, helping us to grow our business by continually improving and developing the products and services that we deliver to our clients. This usually entails at least one intensive day of brainstorming, hands-on work and marketing planning each month. Dee also works alongside LWS on this basis with a selection of our clients.
Dee also writes our many press releases, articles and adverts and she is a great ambassador for our business, because in her own words, "I had decided some time ago not to be retained by a web or design Company preferring to work on ad hoc projects instead.
